I find the system to work better and be more convenient than the old ticket method. This arcade uses electronic cards for keeping track of your ticket winnings rather than traditional tickets. Definitely a good place to take the kids for an hour or so to beat the heat, rain, etc. Sometimes the new games are great, sometimes we miss the old ones, but this is the nature of the arcade business though. They seem to rotate games fairly regularly and there are generally a few new ones when we visit. This is not a huge arcade, but it's one we always stop by when in Gatlinburg. THIS WAS NOT MY CHILD- but seriously? you say that to a customer and a 4 YEAR OLD?!! They looked at each other and said, "the kid just needs to realize he isn't getting a prize." Instead of apologizing and offering something else. Another family was trying to get a prize for their 4 year old- and the workers said they didn't have a key to the "cheap" prizes. I went to the counter again- to get refunded. AGAIN it took our tokens- but at this point we just wanted to leave. Then we went to a particular game- it took our money TWICE!! Finally, we asked the worker to just give us the tokens and we went to another game. Of course, we didn't get refunded- and the quarter wouldn't work the machine. First off, the games were outrageous!! Next, my son accidentally put a quarter in a maching instead of the token. Each destination listed on the site has met Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) requirements. We were not planning on visiting the Super Fun Zone- but we were given a few tokens for using the Putt-Putt Course. IBCCES also created, a free online resource for parents that lists certified destinations and connects families to other resources and each other. “We’re excited to add Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and Ripley’s Super Fun Zone of Branson to our network of Certified Autism Centers.” “Our mission is to help as many locations as possible become certified so they can better serve ALL guests, including those who are currently underserved but are such a powerful and important part of our community,” said Myron Pincomb, IBCCES Board Chairman. IBCCES is the only credentialing organization providing this type of certification, which includes evidence-based information as well as the perspectives of individuals with autism, alongside other tools and resources such as onsite reviews and customized recommendations to ensure the program is a long-term commitment and has a lasting impact. In response to this need, IBCCES created training and certification programs specifically for the hospitality and attractions industry. IBCCES recognized that many families with children who have special needs have limited options. Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and Ripley’s Super Fun Zone of Branson are setting the bar in Branson as the first attractions to become Certified Autism Centers™.įor more than 20 years, IBCCES has been the industry leader in autism certification for healthcare, education and corporate professionals around the globe. Individuals and families with children on the autism spectrum often find choosing attractions and recreational opportunities difficult due to uncertainty about how they will be received and what accommodations are available. “We look forward to sharing and creating great family experiences!” “We are honored to become a part of this awesome community,” said John Dixon, General Manager of Ripley’s Branson attractions.
